This is Joe.

Hey Joe! Pilates was named after him.  It's also an homage to the great Pilates himself, but mainly, it's for my Joe.

Let's call them Little Joe and Big Joe, to avoid confusion.

I was introduced to the works of Big Joe when I was studying at the Royal Academy of Dance. Practising his system allowed me to pass my professional exams, whilst keeping my body strong, balanced, and healthy.  It is more than possible that it also kept me sane, then and since.  Relatively.

Little Joe is a newer addition to my life, and I'm sure that Big Joe would forgive me for saying that he's transformed my life in an even better way than Big Joe did, fifteen years ago at the R.A.D.

I want my son to be proud of what I do.  I want him to say, 'My Mum, she helps people to feel better about themselves'.  So I decided to set up Hey Joe! Pilates.

It's that simple.
